NOW I'M A WARRIOR, I'M STRONGER THAN I'VE EVER BEEN
THE ANTI-BULLYING WARRIOR
People often tend to overlook at somethings especially when it happens to be something they don't know or don't care. I would personally say its 25% lack of interest on that specific topic being discussed and 75% Mr.Know-It-All crisis.
Same happens when I tell people I adore Demi (Demetria) Lovato. The first reaction I always get would be 'Oh, that singer! I know her!' and the second would be 'Oh, that Disney-kid that ended up in rehab? Usual case!'. I am not denying those facts but why remember someone with their dark side when there is neon bright side? When I say I love Demi, I always hear others telling me that I am so typical. I don't really get what they mean by typical. Some people even think that celebrities nowadays can buy success but little do they really know that 'every success has its own price'. A true and dedicated Lovatic (Demi Lovato fans) will know those excruciating prices the Queen D has paid to get this much of success at the age of 21!
Somethings just don't change :)
Anyone reading this might as well think that I am just another cray lunatic fan bragging about my all-time favorite TV personality or what so ever, but I had my moments where I had no one to look up to and all i had was Demi's songs, her words of wisdom, her motivating story. Because of what she has gone through the past years, many teenage girls and boys, ladies and men are living a better life now, thanking her for her courage of opening up about bullying and cutting at a very young age when even a successful 40 years old wouldn't have. Because of that one Camp Rock star, many lives are being saved form the darkness of bullying, self-harming and eating disorder, which always comes as a package deal.
At the age of 21, when many other concentrate on career or own fashion label, record label, she has established a scholarship entitled 'The Lovato Treatment Scholarship' to help people suffering with the same issues she did one at a time. It is more to a tribute to her late dad, Patrick Lovato but the important point is, at 21, she strives for a change, not for herself but that one unknown kid who is undergoing the terrible pressure of such disorders. It is a scholarship program that she has started herself with the collaboration of a treatment center and she would be paying the bills of the treatment of those who gets the scholarship. Call me little miss braggy but I don't really care.
Demi won People Magazine's Most Beautiful (without makeup)
In honor of National Children s Mental Health Awareness Day, Demi was given an award for her bravery on opening up about her issues and supporting anti-bullying.
All I am trying to prove here is no pain, no gain. There are many other celebrities or even normal people like Demi Lovato that are not being appreciated and continued to be mocked and bullied. All you have to do is think for a minute before you bully someone, think for a second before you feel like harming yourself. You are always worth more than you think you are. As I always tell myself, 'if Demi can do it, I can do it!'.
And as a Lovatic, I personally have pledged to anti-bullying with my Queen D. You pledge too :)
